SERIES 1: RACING ESSENTIALS STARTS MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6th @ 8PM

This four-part webinar for Series 1 will be lead by Dave Dellenbaugh. It begins Monday, February 6 at 8:00 pm EST and continues on the following three Mondays in February. Each session goes about 90 minutes and includes video, diagrams, animations, and quizzes. Participant questions are welcome!

Participants receive: links to attend all 4 live sessions; all ‘pre-read’ materials sent out before each session; unlimited access to REPLAYS of all sessions; a link to a Google doc with all the webinar Q&As. 

Each week we’ll take a deep dive into one of these critical areas from strategic, tactical, technical, and speed-oriented points of view. The content will apply to all types of boats, for skippers and crew.

1 – STEERING

Monday, February 6 – 8:00 pm EST: A thorough look at how to turn the boat and keep it in the groove, both upwind and downwind, for skippers and crew.

2 – TACKING

Monday, February 13 – 8:00 pm EST.: A detailed discussion of turning technique, trimming tips, and tactical considerations whenever you need to tack.

3 – COMMUNICATION & DECISION-MAKING

Monday, February 20 – 8:00 pm EST: An in-depth review of how your team should communicate and make decisions to keep the boat sailing fast and smart.

4 – CONSERVATIVE SAILING

Monday, February 27 – 8:00 pm EST: An explanation of when you should take chances, and when you shouldn’t, and how to implement a low-risk strategy.
