CBYRA Fields a Team to represent the Chesapeake region in the 2026 U.S. Adult Sailing Championship for the Mallory Trophy

This past August, US Sailing reached out to all US Sailing Yacht Racing Associations (YRA’s) with a request for applications to participate in the 2026 U.S. Adult Sailing Championship for the Mallory Trophy to be held in Seabrook, Texas at the Lakewood Yacht Club, November 4-7.  The competition will be conducted using RS21 one-design keelboats. CBYRA canvased the Chesapeake region for interested teams and received a single application which was submitted and accepted by US Sailing.

CBYRA is pleased to announce that the CBYRA “Potomac Pirates” Team will represent our region and compete in the Championship. Team Potomac Pirates  is based out of the Potomac River Sailing Association (PRSA) and consists of 4 members who are all accomplished racers with experience and top podium wins in Regional, National, and International One Design events.  The team consists of Mainsail Trimmer Aiden Molesky, Skipper Barny Harris, Bow Sydney Register, and Jib Trimmer Travis Tucker.  CBYRA is supporting the team with a grant and will be eagerly watching as the daily scores are posted.
