The goal of this webinar is to build your confidence in tight situations with other boats. We’ll analyze dozens of common scenarios and explore how to balance tactics with strategy and speed. The content will apply to a wide range of boat types, for skippers and crew.

Part 1: UPWIND Tactics

Monday, April 17 – 8:00 pm EDT: An in-depth look at all the subtle boat-on-boat moves that should be in your repertoire while racing upwind. 

Part 2: Tactics at MARKS

Monday, April 24 – 8:00 pm EDT: A detailed discussion of tactical tips and tricks for staying in control and catching boats while rounding marks. 

Part 3: DOWNWIND Tactics

Monday, May 1 – 8:00 pm EDT: A thorough review of moves you can make on runs and reaches, for boats with or without spinnakers. 

Part 4: START & FINISH Tactics

Monday, May 8 – 8:00 pm EDT: An examination of tactical moves that will help you cross the start and finish lines safely and successfully.

The ‘Winning Tactics’ Webinar Series begins Monday, April 17, at 8:00 pm and continues on the following three Mondays. Each session lasts about 90 minutes and includes lots of tactical videos, photos, diagrams, animations, and quizzes. Participant questions are always welcome!

Participants receive: 1) Four live sessions; 2) Unlimited access to REPLAYS of all four sessions (in case you miss any or want to review them any time); 3) Pre-read materials sent before each session; and 4) Link to a Google doc with all webinar Q&As.
